Hard to imagine that it is almost a year since the first Walk The Cross! Hopefully, you got to partake in this incredible faith initiative which culminated in a wonderful Mass celebrated by Fr. John Mockler in Clonmacnoise which is a place of huge significance in the faith life of our country. Having marked the country with the Cross coming from the four provinces into Clonmacnoise the format this year is different. It is intended to start at Clonmacnoise with a Mass at 8pm on Tuesday 10th September once again celebrated by Fr. John Mockler. Anyone coming to join us for this Mass can avail of accommodation in the local hall for €20 per person.

The walk itself will start the following morning 11th September from Mullingar to Kinnegad. This will take place along the canal and is approximately 20km. We propose attending Mass in Mullingar Cathedral at 10am and start immediately after.

The second day 12th we leave Kinnegad for Enfield which is approx 25km.

The third day 13th we depart Enfield for Maynooth which is roughly 19km.

And the final day 14th we depart from Maynooth into Dublin which is roughly 25km.

If you are interested in doing the walk please join this WhatsApp group to be kept updated as we finalise all the details.
